Obituary 85, of Palmyra, passed away Sunday, December 17, 2023 at Hershey Medical Center. She celebrated 64 years of marriage to Josiah Greaves Sr. Born in Englewood, NJ on April 12, 1938, Frances was the daughter of the late Ferdinand and Mary (Altavilla) DiMaggio. She grew up, married Josiah, and raised her family in Bergenfield, NJ. She was a member of St Jude the Apostle in Hamburg NJ. She enjoyed crocheting, volunteering in the church, making prayer shawls and rosary beads, reading, doing her sudoku and crossword puzzles, and baking cookies with grandkids. |
In addition to her husband, Frances is survived by her 5 children - AnnMarie (Donald) Rizzo, Josiah (Nenita) Greaves Jr, Susan (late William) Bihler, Steven (Patricia) Greaves, Edward (Celine) Greaves,14 grandchildren -Kimberly (Greg) Shumaker, Michael (fiancée Nargis) Rizzo, Gina Greaves, Albert (Meghan) Greaves, Jason Greaves, Michelle Greaves, Michael (Jennifer) Bihler, Christopher (Raechel) Bihler, Peter Bihler, James Greaves, John Greaves, Annie Greaves, Lucas Greaves, Maxwell Greaves and 3 great-grandchildren- Mason Shumaker, Jaclynn Shumaker, Cole Bihler. She is also survived by 5 siblings - Grace (late Alois) Knapich, Rose Dempewolf, Frank (Ernestine) DiMaggio, Joseph (Kathie) DiMaggio, JoAnn (Allan) Draper, and loved by many nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 10:00 AM on Saturday, January 20, 2024 at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, 2 N 8th St, Lebanon, PA 17046.
